What is Sports Taping?

Sports taping or “sports strapping” involves the strategic application of tape to support muscles, joints, and ligaments during physical activity. It helps reduce the risk of injury and supports recovery by stabilizing affected areas. This course covers a range of techniques used across various sports disciplines.

What is the Difference between Sports Taping and Sports Strapping?

Nothing at all! Sports taping and sports strapping are simply two terms for the same practice, with no technical or functional difference between them. Both phrases refer to the application of tape to support muscles, stabilize joints, and aid in injury prevention or recovery.

The variation in terminology often arises from regional or contextual preferences, with “taping” commonly used in some areas and “strapping” in others. Regardless of the term used, the techniques and purposes remain identical, focusing on providing targeted support to athletes for improved performance and safety.
