Pocket mask training covers the correct use and care of a resuscitation or pocket mask. This is a non accredited course and forms part of the requirement for candidates applying for entry into the NSW Police Force.
A certificate is issued on successful completion of this course.

This course is delivered and assessed on behalf of Allens Training Pty Ltd RTO 90909 by Orange First Aid Training
Course Delivery
This course can be delivered at your workplace or club, or at one of our public courses.
Course Duration
Online with face-to-face assessment – Face to Face contact time of at least 30 minutes
Entry Requirements
Participants must have the physical capacity to perform the practical demonstrations, such as 2 minutes of uninterrupted CPR on the floor and rescue breathing techniques on manikins.
Assessment Requirements
Individuals undertaking this course will be expected to complete the practical assessment tasks and answer questions on the use and care of a pocket mask.

Assessment Activities
Performance tasks and practical scenarios:
- Demonstrate DRSABCD
- Correct assembly of Pocket Mask
- Correctly place and position Pocket Mask on casualty
- Demonstrate 2 full inflations for adequate chest expansion on manikin
- Correct disposal/decontamination of pocket mask and contents
Theory assessment: Answer verbal questions
